The interviewing processes have become more complex
these days when a phone interview is more a
norm and prelude to a personal interview. This paper presents some
tips for both phone and personal interviews. |
|
A
Phone Interview - Do's and Dont's :
- Remember - the interviewer cannot see you. So inject a
lot of personality and expression into your voice.
- Do not answer in mono-syllables. Be very vocal about
your skills and experience.
- Display an interest to meet in person.
- Provide sufficient information for the interviewer to
understand the level of your skills and compatibility for a position.
A
Personal Interview - Do's and Don'ts :
- Arrive on time for the interview. Make sure you have
enough time to calm yourself before the interview.
- Dress code - Interview pundits have given different
rules for dress code. Remember - A professional, clean and crisp appearance is
mandatory.
- During the interview, maintain eye contact with the
interviewer and keep a good posture.
- While answering questions, remember to keep the
conversation flowing.
- Display a positive attitude throughout the
interview.
Overall: Be sure to give the interviewer the
impression that you are the perfect candidate for the job and that you want
it.
